The
Subject area of
Physiotherapy comprises of staff who have strong research backgrounds. The BSc(Hons)
Physiotherapy course is a full-time four year honours course with a substantial science
content. The course attracts students of the highest calibre from Scotland, the United
Kingdom and many countries world-wide.
A deliberate policy of developing the scientific aspects of
Physiotherapy enables students to evaluate critically the effectiveness of Physiotherapy
practice. As a result, graduates are analytical and evaluative practioners who have a
great deal to contribute to the development of the profession.
Physiotherapy was awarded an "Excellent"
grading by the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council
in 1998 for it's teaching provision during the 1997 - 98 Quality Assessment Programme.
